Today the Kagamibiraki was held at the Hombu Dojo in Japan. We are very proud to announce that 6 of our own Aiki-friends are promoted today. We want to congratulate Wilbert Sluiter, Michael Reichmann, Paul de Gruiter, John Zenkewich who have been promoted to 6e DAN, Eric Zmarzly promoted to 5th DAN and Charlie Stapp who has been promoted to 1st DAN.

Recently a new book has been published which has been writen by John Stevens and Felix Hess regarding their extensive Art collection.
This book presents 127 of the best Zen artworks (Zenga) from over 560 pieces covering the entire spectrum of the genre, both chronologically and thematically.
This year we had a great summerschool so far. Starting Saturday 20th at 8:00 sharp.
With our friends from New York, Kinrooi, Lommel, Houthalen, The Hague. Leeuwarden and Vaals we were in for a treet.
The temperatures were high all week with a top on wednesday and thursday. Fortunately the dojo was much cooler than the outside temperature.
